Carbine Fundamentals

This one day course will teach you proper zero of your carbine, close range and intermediate range target engagement, firing from unorthodox positions, movement, combat marksmanship, optics and equipment selection. This course will challenge you, your equipment and your carbine. Because of the ongoing ammunition crisis, .22 carbines are completely acceptable.
 

Handgun Fundamentals

This one day course will teach you pistol manipulation, close range and intermediate range target engagement, firing from unorthodox positions, movement and equipment selection. This course will challenge you, your equipment and enable you to become much more confident in the use and carry of your handgun. Because of the ongoing ammunition crisis, .22 caliber pistols are completely acceptable. Specialized 2-day courses are available upon request.
 

Carbine Clinic

This 4-hour course is designed for new carbine owners, as well as more experienced carbine handlers, who want a fundamentals refresher. Students will learn about standard safety rules and practices, carbine setup and deployment, marksmanship fundamentals, how to properly zero both mechanical and optical sights, clearing malfunctions, reloading techniques, shooting from unusual positions and gear selection. Because of the ongoing ammunition crisis .22 caliber carbines are completely acceptable.
 

Handgun Clinic

This 4-hour course allows for both novice and experienced shooters to enjoy a stress free course, where firearms safety and the basics of marksmanship are emphasized. An overview of gear selection, maintenance and various practice drills for the shooter to use on their own will be provided. Shooters will practice their draw from a strong-side holster, along with the fundamentals which allow quick, accurate shooting at typical distances involved in handgun engagements, as well as developing a tactical mindset. Because of the ongoing ammunition crisis, .22 pistols are completely acceptable.
 

Women’s Pistol

This class offers women the opportunity to develop (or sharpen) their gun-handling skills in a low-stress environment, with an emphasis on safety and developing practical competency.
The class begins with safety practices and then moves into the basics needed to become a skilled shooter: stance, grip, sight alignment/sight picture, and trigger control. The shooters will also become familiar with drawing their pistol and presenting it properly from a strong-side belt holster. Also, participants will be able to practice administrative, emergency and tactical reloads, as well as recognizing and clearing the three types of malfunctions commonly encountered.
Range drills will emphasize quick, accurate shot placement at commonly encountered handgun ranges, shooting on the move as well as being able to shoot from alternative positions (other than standing).
For new shooters just becoming involved with the shooting sports, women who currently carry a concealed weapon (or plan to obtain a license) or those experienced shooters who are seeking the opportunity to have a refresher on the basics and practice them in a low-impact setting, this is an ideal opportunity.
 

Concealed Defensive Pistol Skills

CDPS will push the student in the areas of manipulations, marksmanship, and mindset while carrying a concealed pistol. Students who wish to enroll in this class must have a firm grasp of the basics regarding safe gunhandling, as well as the concepts/fundamentals of fighting with a pistol or revolver. To this end, the registering student must show proof of having attended at minimum a one-day pistol class from a reputable training firm. While carrying concealed is strongly recommended for this class, the skills developed and practiced will apply to those who merely wish to improve their pistols skills. Topics covered in this class include, but are not limited to; The concealed draw Engagement from 5 – 30 yards, Multiple target engagement, Balancing speed and accuracy, Empty hand drills, Single hand engagement, Shooting from cover and more.
 

AK Fundamentals

An Introduction to the Fundamentals of the Kalashnikov series of firearms. The Paladin Professional Training Resources AK Fundamentals course will teach marksmanship, stress management, zeroing and manipulation together with support equipment selection, ongoing tools and maintenance. This course will also briefly explore the design and history of this legendary battle rifle found throughout the world. This fast paced, challenging course will enable you to intelligently integrate the Kalashnikov system into your arsenal of options.
 

Kalashnikov Proficiency Enhancement

The one day Kalashnikov Proficiency Enhancement focuses on the specifics of the AK-47/74 Kalashnikov system and its intricacies that users will encounter worldwide. This course will allow the shooter to become proficient in various non-standard shooting positions and scenarios. In this course the student will learn non-standard shooting positions, use of various types of barricades, shooting on the move, clearing of AK specific malfunctions, timed exercises, accessories and equipment selection. Prerequisites: Kalashnikov Fundamentals or another Kalashnikov training class from an approved trainer.
 

Disaster Preparedness

This is a one day classroom course with the focus on preparation for probable disaster events. Class topics will cover the FEMA disaster preparedness guidelines using real life examples to stress the need for preparation, and the most commonly overlooked (yet very important) parts of preparation.
 

Arid Environment Skills

This is a one day class that will be held in an outdoor environment. We will focus on the simple basics of what to do if you are stranded or lost in a desert environment. This is not a “bushcraft” class and does not focus on colonization or building new societies, rather it is a pragmatic course that covers the crucial “first 72 hours” – covering what to do and what not to do; with an emphasis on understanding and increasing the likelihood of being located by Search and Rescue Teams. Students should dress appropriate to the season and bring a small pack with lunch and water, students are also encouraged to bring small survival items and a field knife.
 

Carbine/AK Fundamentals & Enhancement Combination Class

For this one day specialty class, we will be combining the key points of Carbine Fundamentals/AK Fundamentals and Carbine Enhancement/AK Enhancement courses. This Paladin Professional Training Resources course will teach marksmanship, stress management, zeroing and manipulation together with support equipment selection, and maintenance. This course will also briefly explore the design and history of currently available carbines as well as the legendary battle rifle found throughout the world, the Kalashnikov. This fast paced, challenging course will enable you to intelligently integrate the carbine and or the Kalashnikov into your arsenal of options.
